A group of local businesses and organizations have banded together to organize the Richmond Cinco De Mayo Cruise Night Sat., May 7 at 5 p.m., when vehicles will roll out from 1414 Harbour Way South onto Cutting Blvd. and turn left onto 23rd Street in Richmond.
The news comes as the Standard has confirmed with a representative of the 23rd Street Merchants Association in Richmond that there won’t be a Cinco de Mayo celebration on 23rd Street this year due to the ongoing pandemic.

Those with vehicles they want to enter into Cruise Night should meet up at 3 p.m. at the aforementioned Harbour Way South location starting point. Per the event flyer, all are welcome to participate—both car clubs and solo riders.
“Respect the city, support local businesses, eat [and] have a great time,” stated organizers on the event flyer, adding, “no colors, no burnouts, no sideshows.” As locals know, Richmond’s 23rd Street is renowned for its wide selection of Mexican eateries and other businesses perfect for enjoying Cinco de Mayo in style.
Event organizers listed on the flyer include: Nuñez Tattoo; The Outsiders Car Club; Unfinished Business; Richmond-CA Trucking; Blvd. Ranflaz Car Club; Excandalow Bay Area Car Club; and Way of Life Car Club of Vallejo.
